(Cary, N.C. – Dec. 17, 2013) – LORD Corporation announced the addition of Chad Thelen as computer-aided design (CAD) drafter/designer to the LORD Corporation MicroStrain®Sensing System team in Williston, Vt. Thelen will be responsible for completing detailed definition products through the creation of 3-D CAD models and technical drawings. The addition of Thelen to the LORD team will reinforce our commitment to design innovation for our customers.
Prior to working at LORD, Thelen served as an IT project coordinator for two years and as a lead CAD technician for four years at Hayward Tyler, Inc., a leading supplier of electric motors and pumps with facilities in Colchester, Vt. While at Hayward Tyler, Thelen supported his career growth through designing various components, using programs like SolidWorks and AutoCAD. He earned an automotive design certification from Integrated Systems Technology in 1997 after attending Lansing Community College.
